A Legacy
of Coaching

For me, sports have always been more than a game; they are the thread that ties my history together. I grew up with a deep appreciation for the impact a coach can have on a young life. My grandfather was a legend in his own right, eventually being inducted into the Henderson County Hall of Fame for his dedication to high school basketball. Following in those footsteps, the man that helped raise me — my little sister's dad — the one who took me and my older sister in like we were his own every weekend — was a pillar of the community through his coaching in girls' basketball and softball. He left a lasting mark on Henderson County, KY before his passing in 2007.

Those men taught me that a coach is a mentor, a father figure, and a community leader. Inspired by them, I dedicated over 17 years of my own life to the sidelines. My journey took me from coaching middle school and high school football, baseball, and basketball, all the way to the professional level, where I coached two teams overseas and in indoor arena football.

The Turning
Point

When my dad passed in 2007, it was a profound loss that changed my path. For a time, I stepped away from the sports that reminded me most of him, focusing my energy entirely on football. Eventually, I was blessed with twins in 2023, and for the last few years, I traded my coach's whistle for full-time parenting. Being with my kids gave me a new perspective on what truly matters.

Why
We Exist

Faith 1st Sports is my way of coming full circle. It is a reflection of the lessons I learned from my grandfather and my dad, combined with the love I have for my own children. I started this organization to get back to what I love and that's watching and helping young athletes grow in the community — while ensuring that no child is left on the sidelines.

We believe that sports should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances. By creating premium apparel and hosting competitive tournaments, we are funding the Faith 1st Grant, which removes the financial barriers of registration fees, equipment, and travel costs.

Faith 1st Sports is my way of honoring the legacy I was given, while creating a new, inclusive legacy for the next generation of athletes in our community.
